The Japan Radiological Society (JSRT) and the Japan Radiological Society (JRS) jointly developed the standard digital image database (JSRT Database) containing and excluding pulmonary nodules in 1998 (*1). Since then, the JSRT database has been widely utilized by researchers across the world for a variety of research purposes, including image processing, image compression, image display evaluation, computer-aided diagnosis (CAD), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), as well as training and testing.
