This spreadsheet contains data from two studies. Study 1 involved 145 university students and includes measures tapping into alexithymia (20 item Toronto Alexithymia Scale, Bagby, Parker, & Taylor, 1994), sensory processing sensitivity (Highly Sensitive Person Scale, Aron & Aron, 1997; Orienting Sensitivity Subscale of Adult Temperament Questionnaire, Evans & Robthbart, 2008), interoceptive accuracy (Interoceptive Accuracy Scale, Murphy et al., 2019), and mental health (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21, Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995). Study 2 involved 53 university students and includes measures tapping into alexithymia (20 item Toronto Alexithymia Scale), interoception (Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness Version 2, Mehling et al., 2018), depression (Patient Health Questionnaire, Kroenke et al., 2001) and social anxiety (Kutcher Generalized Social Anxiety Disorder Scale for Adolescents, Brooks & Kutcher, 2004). It also includes ratings of the intensity and pleasantness of 18 different types of emotional expressions, and of how approachable the people displaying these expressions appear to be. Information about participant age and sex is also provided.
