Metagenomic sequencing of leaf-associated microbiomes in bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) under contrasting climatic conditions

This project investigates the leaf-associated microbiomes of bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) using shotgun metagenomic sequencing. Samples were collected from plants growing under distinct environmental conditions in Jena, Germany (temperate) and Tromso, Norway (Arctic). The study aims to understand how regional climatic factors influence the taxonomic composition and functional potential of phyllosphere microbial communities. These data contribute to the broader understanding of plant microbe interactions under natural environmental gradients.
