With the aim of finding estuarine bacterioplankton and host-associated bacteria, which are able to tolerate the antimicrobial compound tropodithietic acid (TDA), we isolated bacteria from enrichment cultures containing marine broth supplemented with 50% spent medium of Phaeobacter inhibens DSM 17395, which produces high amounts of TDA in Marine broth.
