Comparative genomic analysis of Fischer F344 rat livers exposed for 90 days to 3-methylfuran or its parental compound furan.

Transcriptomic data obtained by RNA-seq from male Fischer 344 rats treated with furan and 3-methylfuran were compared and contrasted. Microarray data from the same rats treated with furan was also used to compare microarray to RNA seq analysis. Overall design: Compare trascriptomics data between furan and its derivative 3-methylfuran in male Fischer 344 rats using RNA-seq while at the same time comparing microarray data from the same rats treated with furan to that of RNA-seq data from both furan and 3-methylfuran.
