Monthly magazine readership ranking in Spain Q3 2023

The American science, geography and history magazine National Geographic was the most popular magazine among Spaniards in the third quarter of 2023, with approximately 2.42 million readers that year. Other magazines on the list include the fashion magazine Vogue, with over 1.42 million readers, as well as the history edition of National Geographic magazine, Historia National Geographic, which had over 1.2 million readers in Spain in late 2023. Sports magazines have the highest readership in Spain Marca was the newspaper that featured the highest readership in Spain between February and November in 2020. Despite these results the sport newspaper, which is owned by the Spanish publishing firm Unidad Editorial, experienced a downward trend in its readership. This decline in newspaper penetration however seems to be a general tendency that was recorded across this European country in the past years. Transitioning to a digital era As was to be expected during the Information Age and due to the high penetration rate of the Internet and portable devices in the developed world, the latest surveys suggested that Spaniards in all age groups were more likely to read the news on an electronic device rather than in traditional print newspaper format. These studies also revealed that traditional papers appeared to be most popular among individuals aged 65 and over, with a share of 29 percent readership in recent years.
