Data for: Unraveling the impact of drought on waterbird community assembly and conservation strategies

The data encompass the following components:
1. Community assembly metrics: Metrics including MPD, MNTD, FD_MPD, FD_MNTD, SES_MPD, SES_MNTD, SES_FD_MPD, SES_FD_MNTD, and species richness.
2. Functional trait data: Data on 6 functional traits of waterbird species: body mass, body length, bill length, wing length, tarsus length, and tail length.
3. Phylogenetic tree: Phylogenetic tree file (birdtree.tree).
4. Drought index: Drought index derived from PCA of drought-related variables.
5. Conservation measures: Compilation of conservation measures from 280 selected literatures.
6. Conservation investment projects data: Details of conservation investment projects, including content, implementation time, and investment amounts for DTL and PYL.
7. Simulation code for Fig. 1: R scripts used for the simulation calculations presented in Fig. 1.
