data linked to our accepted paper in Forest Ecology and Management titled: "Interactive effects of tree diversity, tree identity and management on generalist predator taxonomic and functional diversity". Data includes raw data (spider IDs and abundances from different traps/periods), and processed data, including spider traits used to calculate functional diversity and plot-level data used for analysis with linear models. Each of these files are in seperate excel files with a metadata sheet. Spider data was collected with the use of pitfall traps from March 22 to September 6, 2022 at the BIOTREE-SPECIES biodiversity-ecosystem functioning experiment near Kaltenborn in Thuringia, Germany. The tree species pool includes European beech, Norway spruce, sessile oak, and Douglas fir planted in plots with a species richness of 1-4. Additionally, at each plot half of the area was left unmanaged and half was managed by removing 30% of the basal area and leaving the deadwood in the plot.
