资源简介:
The submitted notebook "Parametric LCA Model for Power Modules" serves as an open-source Python codes that implemented the Parametric Life Cycle Assessment (PLCA) model for power modules, aimed at share the Life Cycle Inventory data of the power modules with the communauty for ecodesign study. The code is developed using the Brightway library and the LCA Algebraic package.
This submission is linked to the paper "Parametric Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Power Modules" presented in the 26th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE) which is held in Paris on 31st March to 4th April.
Key Components
PLCA Model for Power ModulesThe notebook implements the PLCA meta-model for power electronics, focusing on a case study of power modules used in electric vehicles. Life Cycle Inventory data have been collected and integrated into the model. Detailed information on LCI data collection is available in another paper by the authors: "Parametrized Manufacture Life Cycle Inventory of IGBT Power Modules."
Data Visualization FeaturesThe notebook includes features for visualizing and interpreting Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) results. These visualizations present the normalization of environmental impact indicators, the distribution of impacts across life cycle stages, and the allocation of environmental impacts to technical blocks or components.
Simulations for End-of-Life Redesign ScenariosThree end-of-life scenarios are modeled in the notebook: (i) Baseline (ADEME, WEEE 2022), (ii) Without recycling, (iii) Specific recycling. The environmental impacts for these scenarios are calculated and visualized to support redesign decisions.
