16S rRNA gene amplicon sequences (V3-V4 region) of the entire and active bacterial community from rainforest, jungle rubber, rubber and oil palm plantation soils. We sampled the topsoil of 48 plots in total and extracted DNA and RNA. We amplified the V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene and sequenced the amplicons with an Illumina MiSeq sequencer.
