SOCOMv2 Experiment 5: Vertical Temperature Gradients full experimental dataset
收藏资源简介:
Dataset Information Current Version: v1 (changelog at end of repository) Contacts: Daniel J. Ford (d.ford@exeter.ac.uk) The Surface Ocean CO2 Mapping program entered its second phase (SOCOMv2) with a range of experiments which provides a coordinated, community-driven framework to evaluate surface ocean fugacity of CO2 in seawater (sfCO2) reconstructions and derived air–sea CO2 fluxes under present-day observational constraints. This repository holds the dataset used within an experiment investigating the impact of vertical temperature gradients on the sfCO2 observation based ensmeble within the GCB. How to reference? If you use these data for a new analysis or publication, we request that you contact Daniel J. Ford (d.ford@exeter.ac.uk). This will allow the authors, and the SOCOM community the opportunity to contribute and be considered for co-authorship, depending on their level of involvement. If these data are used please reference the orginial study (Ford et al. in prep) and the repository with the version. Data format This dataset includes three netCDF files and three csv files representing different gas transfer parameterisation setups. Within each netCDF, reconstructed sfCO2 from eight reconstruction methods are provide for the two mapping runs, alongisde air-sea CO2 fluxes for three cases described in Ford et al. (in prep). Ancillary information including for example sea surface temperature and salinity. Within each csv file, the ensemble mean global ocean CO2 sink for the three air-sea CO2 flux cases are provided annually, with their uncertainty for the ensemble. Each netCDF file has the corresponding naming: Ford_et_al_SOCOMv2_Experiment5_<gas transfer and wind speed>_output_<version>.nc where <gas_transfer and wind speed> is the gas transfer and wind speed setup used and <version> represents the dataset version. Each csv file has the corresponding naming: Ford_et_al_SOCOMv2_Experiment5_<gas transfer and wind speed>_ensemble_<version>.csv where <gas_transfer and wind speed> is the gas transfer and wind speed setup used and <version> represents the dataset version. The gas transfer options are shown in the table below: Wanninkhof_ERA5 Nightingale_ERA5 Nightingale_CCMP We refer the user to the netCDF file for the full set of avaiable variables but as a quick start: The corresponding data product sfCO2 and air-sea CO2 fluxes are found with the corresponding dataproduct name. For example: UExP-FNN-U_fco2_map1 or UExP-FNN-U_flux_case1. Uncertainties are found for the sfCO2 mapping and fluxes for each case and data product. Avaiable data products are: Dataproduct Name UExP-FNN-U CMEMS-LSCE-FFNN LDEO-HPD CarboScope JMA-MLR LDEO-sfCO2-Residual VLIZ-SOMFFN NIES-ML3 Changelog Version Changes since previous version v1 Initial release of the dataset ready for submission of the supporting manuscript. The Surface Ocean CO2 Observing Network (SOCONET), the Surface Ocean CO2 Atlas (SOCAT) and the Surface Ocean CO2 Mapping (SOCOM) program are linked international efforts that, along with additional critical data from satellites, models and re-analysis, enable the routine delivery of ocean carbon and carbonate system data products. The many researchers, funders, and agencies responsible for these activities and data are thanked for their contributions. The Surface Ocean CO₂ Atlas (SOCAT) is an international effort, endorsed by the International Ocean Carbon Coordination Project (IOCCP), the Surface Ocean Lower Atmosphere Study (SOLAS) and the Integrated Marine Biosphere Research (IMBeR) program, to deliver a uniformly quality-controlled surface ocean CO₂ database. The many researchers and funding agencies responsible for the collection of data and quality control are thanked for their contributions to SOCAT.[FD34.1][AF34.2] We thank the wider SOCOMv2 community for useful discussions on the study.
