Built upon over 140 million megapixels of sub-micron resolution, annotated serial brain scan images, it covers data from both primate and non-primate species. The database integrates a high-speed database system that allows online query and retrieval of data concerning brain structure and function. Currently, it offers complete brain atlas datasets for a variety of vertebrate species including rhesus macaques, green monkeys, cats, mice, rats, owls, and more.
