Replication Data for Chapter 5

Access to data: Each empirical chapter uses data collected by the Swiss Household Panel(SHP), which is based at the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences FORS. The project is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

Chapter 5 uses two additional datasets:
i) Approved requests for subsidies for supplementary childcare provision as at 1 February 2022, published by the Federal Social Insurance Office. The dataset is available at: https://www.bsv.admin.ch/bsv/de/home/finanzhilfen/kinderbetreuung.html

ii) Population data from the ‘Demographic balance sheet by institutional breakdown - stock on 1 January 2000’ available on the online database STAT-TAB. These are administrative data provided by the Federal Statistics Office.
