Sequence alignment and Maximum Likelihood phylogenetic tree of <i>Inonotus vietnamensis</i>

Species of the genus Inonotus (Hymenochaetaceae, Hymenochaetales) are well known as wood-decaying fungi with ecological and pharmacological importance. Several species, including I. hispidus and I. obliquus, have been reported to contain a wide range of bioactive compounds with antioxidant and anticancer properties. In this study, the chemical composition and antioxidant activity of a newly identified species, Inonotus vietnamensis, were investigated for the first time.
