资源简介:
Photograph of the sidewalk in Sonora Town on the east side of North Spring Street, Los Angeles, ca.1920-1929. A man, possibly Mayor Don Cristobel Aquilar, windowshops under the shade of the sidewalk's overhang. He wears workpants, a sweater and a hat. Signs to his left and to his right read "Tortugas" and "Fabricas & Tortillas / Mexica[...]" respectively between which a barber's pole stands. One of the double doors to the left of the windowshopper is open, revealing its punctured screen. Behind the telephone pole in the foreground, which blocks the view to the left, an automobile can be seen parked along the sidewalk.
