Political emotions, trust, euroscepticism, populism and conspiracy theories in Italy

The survey was conducted by Ipsos between December 2 and 5, 2025, and its reference population was the population residing in Italy aged 18 and over. One thousand complete interviews were collected, selected from Ipsos's proprietary opt-in online panel. The sample design was structured with quotas based on gender, age group, area of residence, and education level, aligned with the structural parameters of the Italian adult population.Data collection was conducted using CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing) methods using a self-administered questionnaire. Panelists were given access to the survey instrument by invitation, and the questionnaire was completed on the Ipsos online platform in compliance with current legislation on personal data protection.The dataset includes a weighting variable constructed using the raking (iterative proportional fitting) method. The calibration was performed on the margins of gender, age group, area of residence and level of education, based on the distributions of the Italian adult population.
