This dataset includes soil temperature profiles from 10 sites associated with the Alaska Earthquake Center’s Alaska Geophysical Network. Since late 2020, over 100 stations— a legacy of the USArray Transportable Array —have been incorporated into the Alaska Geophysical Network. A subset of these stations included soil temperature profiles measuring from the soil surface to up to 1.5 meters (m) in depth. This data compliments co-located meteorological data, allowing for better insights and characterization of permafrost conditions across Alaska. Temperature measurements are provided for each site in .csv format. We acknowledge the Alaska Native nations upon whose land our study area resides and observe the stewardship of the traditional inhabitants of the region.
