Nucleotide sequences obtained from DNA extracted from seawater collected non-buoyant hydrothermal plumes of the Gakkel Ridge (Central Arctic Ocean; rv POLARSTERN, expeditions PS86 and PS101). Sequencing strategies include: metagenomes, metatranscriptomes and 16S rRNA gene tags. Metagenome-assembled genomes of dominant sulfur oxidizing Sulfurimonas (phylum Campilobacterota) and Gammaproteobacterial SUP05 (family Thioglobaceae)
