Four buckets were placed at increasing distances (the first bucket at 1.5 m, the fourth bucket at 22 m distance) from the companions. Moving towards the buckets, the test animals’ ability to maintain visual contact with their companions decreased and was completely obstructed at buckets 3 and 4.
