Data used for fitting models examining the effects of fuel structure and fuel load on fire temperature, flame height, rate of spread, and proportion of fuel consumed. Explanation of column names is below.
fire_id: unique fire identifierstructure: fuel structure, either piled or standingtotal_biomass: fuel load in gramsavg_max_temp: maximum temperature in degrees Celsius as the average of the 5 highest temperatures (2 on either side of the peak)
s_abv100: seconds temperature exceeded 100 degrees Celsiusavg_flame_ht: average flame height in centimeters
rate_of_spread_ms: rate of fire spread in m/s
p_consumed: proportion of total biomass consumed
pct_fuel_moisture: estimated fuel moistureavg_air_temp: average ambient air temperature during experimental firesavg_rh: average ambient relative humidity during firesavg_wind_speed: average wind speed during fires
