Nearby galaxy clusters present a unique opportunity to study the spatialvariation of the physical properties of the ICM and they also provide templatesto test the biases introduced by simplifications used in the analysis of moredistant clusters. Centaurus stands out as the optimal choice for such analysisin its category, due to its brightness &/ proximity. We propose 4 shortpointings that, together with the central archived ones, will allow us to map SNType enrichment, gas bulk velocities, and other ICM physical parameters up tovirgul0.35 of its virial radius.
