资源简介:
Exclusive enteral nutrition induced sustained changes in the microbiota and improved inflammatory bowel disease in a pediatric patient with chronic granulomatous disease. We successfully treated a patient with inflammatory bowel disease and chronic granulomatous disease using exclusive enteral nutrition (EEN). We analyzed the stool microbiome of the presented patient before, during and after EEN for 5 years. Wee compared post-EEN samples to samples from 15 healthy participants and 12 patients with CGD. EEN induced sustained changes in the intestinal microbiota including enrichment of bacterial taxa associated with intestinal health.
