Blautia coccoides exacerbates the intestinal mucosal inflammation in response to chronic stress

Clinical data indicate that anxiety or depression can lead to various gastrointestinal diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), but the underlying mechanisms remain largely unresolved. Chronic stress is a risk factor for the development of anxiety or depression, and can significantly alter the landscape of gut microbiota. This study aims to investigate the potential involvement and mechanisms of gut microbiota in the chronic stress-promoted IBD progression.
