The objective of this project is to investigate the use of extracellular vesicles as a delivery method for CRISPR/Cas9 RNP in order to treat the shaker-1 mutation of the Myo7a gene. This research was conducted in both primary fibroblast cells and the inner ear of a mouse model for the editing efficiency characterization.
