All India Debt and Investment Survey conducted decennially by NSSO. It is a national level survey that is conducted using two stage sampling. In all covers more than 310,000 households of which more than 180,000 are from rural areas. This is the only comprehensive dataset that examines debt and indebtedness in considerable detail and allows us to paint a national level picture of indebtedness among various sections of the Indian society
