Human astrocyte encapsulation for delivery of cytokines to modulate neuroinflammation

RNAsequencing for comparison of human pluripotent stem cell-derived astrocyte response to inflammatory cytokine treatment (Interleukin 1 alpha, TNFalpha, and Complement C1q; aka ITC) while encapsulated within alginate capsules (aka AstroCapsules). Three separate batches of AstroCapsules were generated and subdivided into two group. One group received treatment with vehicle-only (AstroCapsules) while the other group received treatment with a combination of inflammatory cytokines (AstroCapsuleITC). RNAsequencing was performed with samples 48 hours after treatment.
