In this study, using advanced microscopy, in vivo/in vitro omics experiments and in silico molecular modelling, the long-lasting response to a single exposure of different lung cell types to nanomaterial was determined. The information was further used to build a predictive algorithm that would allow identification of nanomaterials that have the potential to induce inflammation. This experiment examined the the lung transcriptomic responses to single intratracheal instillation of Cube TiO2NPs. Four different doses were selected: 0, 18, 54, or 162 µg/animal. Samples were collected at day 1, and day 28 post-exposure.
