This release provides a curated, design-level dataset and reproducible analysis pipeline for assessing material composition, laminate structures, component compatibility, and recycling incompatibility in food packaging supply chains. The dataset is generated through semi-automated retrieval and structured parsing of global business-to-business (B2B) packaging listings and is suitable for reuse in material flow analysis (MFA), Design-for-Recycling (DfR) assessment, and research on structural lock-in in packaging systems. The dataset and analytical outputs underpin the study“Functional lock-in sustains nearly half of food-packaging designs multimaterial in global B2B supply chains”,but are released here as an independent, reusable research resource.
