Modification Effort Calculation Artifacts (Maintainable Control Software Design using Design Patterns in IEC 61499)

This is the dataset for the Modification Effort in Designs. There are in total 12 ZIP files in total. The file name follows this convention: the first part Indicates the design and second part indicates the variability case. For example, D1_SequenceChange.zip contains the artifacts associated with Design 1 and the Sequence Change variability case. Inside each ZIP file, there is a JSON file that contains full list of changes related to the modification effort. Table 2 (Modification Effort in Design (D) with Discrete Interfaces and Adapter Interfaces for three variability cases) is used to showcase the values for Measurement M1, M2, M3, and M4 for Variability Case 1, 2, and 3 across Design 1, 2, 3, and 4.
