VPRS 875 Rolls of Teachers

The volume in this series contains a number of lists (or rolls) of teachers in denominational schools prepared at varying times and then believed to have been later collected into this volume. The component lists are:1. List of persons examined by the Denominational Schools Board and teachers classified under the National Schools Board. Details are given of name, classification, whether the teacher was Denominational or National, the name of their current school, Examination Number Denominational Schools Board and remarks. Details of teacher examinations may be found in VPRS 887 Report of Examinations.2. List of Persons employed on 31 August 1862 as rendered by the Secretary to the Denominational Schools Board to the Board of Education. Details given are Name, Status (whether Master, Mistress or Assistant), School, Denomination and Classification.3. Denominational Schools - Teachers Employed on 29th February 1864 with details being given of School Number, School Name, Allotment, Name (of teacher), Classification, Rate and Augmentation.4. Head Teachers Employed under the Denominational Schools Board during the quarter ending 30th September 1857. Details given are Name, Denomination, School and rate (of salary). Included is an Abstract of Annual Payments arranged by alphabetical letter.5. The same type and date of listing as in No 4 for Assistant Teachers.6. A set of papers consisting of an illustrated facsimile of the Constitution of the Denominational Schools Board, a listing of the Officers of the Board, Staff and Inspectors for 1st January 1861, Minutes of the Board regarding Teacher's Examinations and the Rules of the Denominational Schools Board.7. List of Denominational Schools Board Teachers 1851 - 1859 inclusively. Details given are Names, Dates of Employment, Schools and their denominations and Remarks.8. List of Denominational Schools Board Teachers on and subsequent to 1st January 1860 giving names, dates of employment, schools and their denomination.9. For 1859 - 1862 Correspondence and Lists with the results of Honours Examinations for Teachers. Details given are names of teachers, the school, the Inspector's Number and the Number of Marks .
