The data set contains computed tomographic data sets of the right and left premaxillae, maxillae and dentaries of the skull of a Tyrannosaurus rex (Dinosauria, Theropoda) from the Late Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) Hell Creek Formation. All of these CT datasets are used to describe the mechanisms of tooth replacement in this specimen by documenting the internal structures of the bones including functional teeth and sets of replacement teeth.
