UKCS carbon storage areas offered for application (WGS84)

<p><span style='font-size:inherit;'><span>The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) is today (9 December) launching the UK's second carbon storage licensing round with 14 areas available for application.</span></span></p><p><span style='font-size:inherit;'><span>The areas being offered for licensing are in the Southern North Sea, Central North Sea, Northern North Sea, English Channel, and East Irish Sea and are made up of a mixture of saline aquifers and depleted oil and gas field storage opportunities.</span></span></p>
