Metagenome-assembled viral contigs (>10 kb) from South Korea seawater (2021)

This dataset contains metagenome-assembled viral contigs (>10 kb) derived from seawater samples collected off the coast of South Korea in 2021. The contigs were generated through de novo assembly using metaSPAdes (v3.13.0), and only high-quality viral sequences (≥10,000 bp) were retained based on quality filtering and CheckV evaluation. These data provide insight into marine viral diversity and may serve as a reference for comparative viromics or environmental virology studies in the East Sea region. The FASTA file includes nucleotide sequences of putative DNA viruses identified from raw metagenomic reads.
