Dataset of Metocean Predictors and Abnormality Index for Rogue Wave Analysis, North Sea

This record contains a curated set of 17 metocean predictors and the corresponding Abnormality Index (AbnI), derived from wave measurements at the K14 platform in the southern North Sea. The features include spectral wave parameters and meteorological conditions selected based on physical relevance and statistical screening for rogue wave analysis. The AbnI provides a continuous measure of wave abnormality that can be used for both regression and threshold-based rogue wave detection studies. The dataset supports the study presented in the paper "From Benchmarking to Explainability: Machine Learning Algorithms for Rogue Wave Prediction".
