By collecting and analyzing after-sales maintenance records of slitting machines, this dataset aims to obtain the mechanical and electrical failure rates of the equipment, so as to provide robust reference data for manufacturing enterprises of such equipment to develop R&D improvement suggestions and prepare spare parts for future fault maintenance, thereby better resolving after-sales issues for customers and improving customer satisfaction. 1. Data Collection: Collect fault conditions and issues of slitting machines reported by customers across different time periods, classify the faults into mechanical faults and electrical faults, and conduct analysis based on the collected data of different mechanical and electrical fault cases. 2. Processing Algorithms: The equipment failure rate refers to the ratio of failures occurring within a unit period. For repairable equipment, the failure rate follows a curvilinear trend over time. The early failure period features a decreasing failure rate, which is caused by factors including material defects, poor design and manufacturing quality, assembly errors, and unskilled operation. By analyzing the fault causes and fault locations of the equipment, the mechanical and electrical failure rates of the equipment can be derived.
