CRP and PCT as predictive indicators for postoperative wound infection in elderly patients with open limb fractures

A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical records of 110 patients with open limb fractures admitted to our hospital from February 2019 to March 2021. The patients were divided into an infection group (n=28) and a non-infection group (n=82) based on whether they developed postoperative wound infection. The levels of CRP and PCT were compared between the two groups. The predictive value of CRP and PCT for postoperative wound infection was analyzed in patients with open limb fractures.
