Year-on-year change in IPI of textile manufacture in Turkey 2017-2024, by month

This statistic shows the monthly change in Industrial Production Index (IPI) of the manufacture of textiles in Turkey from January 2017 to August 2024, compared to the same month of the previous year. Since September 2018, the monthly percentage change in the industrial production of textiles manufacturing sector was generally in the negative. This negative trend showed a change from the final months of 2019. With the onset of the coronavirus crisis, change in the production in the textile manufacturing sector saw negatives again and turned around from June 2020 onwards, peaking in April 2021. In August 2024, the Industrial Production Index (IPI) of the manufacture of textiles decreased by 6.3 percent compared to the same month a year earlier. The Industrial Production Index (IPI) measures the real output of manufacturing, mining and electric and gas supply industries.
