资源简介:
Forty-six seals were selected for radio tagging during four expeditions to the Antarctic, fall and winter seasons of years 2001 and 2002. The captured seals were surveyed, prior to release, for their physiological and morphological conditions: body weight, body dimensions, blubber thickness, blood sampling, blood volume, tissue samples and general health. The seal capture/release area consisted of: the continental shelf to the west of the Antarctic Peninsula extending from the northern tip of Adelaide Island to the southern portion of Alexander Island, Crystal Sound, and Marguerite Bay. ships/cruise ID/cruise dates R/V Laurence M.
