Sequencing annotation for seven complete genome sequences of Halomonas mangoliensis isolates from hypersaline lakes in Brazilian Pantanal

Extremophilic microorganisms offer a cost-competitive platform for producing various products and thrive at alkaline pH and high salt concentration, conditions that limit microbial contamination. We present the complete genome of seven Halomonas mangoliensis isolates from salt-rich lakes in Brazil's Pantanal. These findings highlight the new strain's potential applications in biotechnology. Sequencing annotation was done using PROKKA v1.14.6 and PGAP v2024-07-18.build7555 (NCBI Prokaryotic Genome Annotation Pipeline) pipelines. We used antiSMASH v7 to annotate and analyze secondary metabolite biosynthesis gene clusters.
