High-resolution temporal dynamics of the Pacific oyster bacterial microbiome

To unravel the intricate relationship between disease, microbiome and host immunity, we deployed Pacific oysters to the Sydney Institute of Marine Science and performed a 6-month temporal study with weekly sampling. Oyster samples were subject to 16S rRNA and Vibrio-centric hsp60 amplicon sequencing, immune gene expression profiling, and a suite of environmental variables were collected at each time point.
