This study investigates the bacterial diversity and community structure in soils collected from beneath decaying wood logs in the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve, Northeast China. The 16S rRNA V3-V4 region was amplified and sequenced using Illumina MiSeq platform to characterize the bacterial composition and their potential ecological roles in wood decomposition processes.
