Project Description This dataset was created to enable an analysis by South Dakota State University of the relationships among operating speed, perception-reaction time, and deceleration rate. Data Request Scope The data set consists 4,237 crash and near-crash events available on InSight v2.1.1. Data Specification Requested elements include questionnaire data, vehicle data, event details, and kinematic data. Latitude and longitude was only provided for near-crash events that did not occur near the trip origin. For a complete list of InSight variables delivered, please see DriverAndVehicle_DataDictionary.pdf. For a complete list of Time Series variables delivered, please see TimeSeries_DataDictionary.pdf.
