Evaluating Relationships Between Perception-Reaction Times, Emergency Deceleration Rates, and Crash Outcomes using Naturalistic Driving Data

Project Description This dataset was created to enable an analysis by South Dakota State University of the relationships among operating speed, perception-reaction time, and deceleration rate. Data Request Scope The data set consists 4,237 crash and near-crash events available on InSight v2.1.1. Data Specification Requested elements include questionnaire data, vehicle data, event details, and kinematic data. Latitude and longitude was only provided for near-crash events that did not occur near the trip origin.
