Transcriptome assembly and allele expression in ripening strawberry Fragaria × ananassa fruit.. Fragaria-02

We have performed expression analysis by RNAseq of the achene and the receptacle of the ripening fruits at four stages, as well as roots and leaves. Mapping of reads in the updated genome of the wild diploid Fragaria vesca, whose genome is sequenced, validates the expression data and identifies key elements in the fruit developmental process. In addition, a combined strategy, including reference-based and de novo approaches, has been used for the assembly of the transcriptome corresponding to the tissues and stages sampled.
