Ceratobasidium papillatum strain:CBS 570.83 Genome sequencing

Ceratobasidium is a genus of Basidiomycetes fungus that plays diverse ecological roles from pathogenic to symbiotic. Currently, it is not understood how members of this genus can have a dual lifestyle. We sequenced and assembled the genome of Ceratobasidium papillatum. This genome provides a valuable resource for future comparative studies and in-depth analysis of genome structure within the genus. Thus, it will address fundamental questions involving the biology and lifestyle of this group of fungi.
