Although young children’s ability to process various stimuli concurrently, such as dual-tasking, influences their cognitive development, little is known about their mechanisms and characteristics. The present study investigated and discussed young children’s dual-tasking characteristics in detail. In conducting this in-depth study, we applied the PRP paradigm to five- and six-year-olds and examined their dual-tasking and PRP under different task presentation conditions and processing order of auditory and visual stimuli.
