This experiment is to assess the changes of maize genes expression in response to Fusarium graminearum stains wild-type PH-1 and Δcfem1 mutant. F. graminearum is the major casual fungal pathogen of Gibberella stalk rot on maize. Three biological replicates of two-month-old maize stalks at 24 hours post water treatment were named water-rep 1, 2, 3, used as control. Three biological replicates of two-month-old maize stalks at 24 hours post PH-1 infection were named PH-1-rep 1, 2, 3. Three biological replicates of two-month-old maize stalks at 24 hours post Δcfem1 infection were named Δcfem1-rep 1, 2, 3. Total RNA extracted from water-rep 1, 2, 3 and PH-1-rep 1, 2, 3 and Δcfem1-rep 1, 2, 3 were used for library preparation. The RNA sequencing was performed at GENE DENOVO. The libraries for sequencing were prepared using NEBNext Ultra RNA Library Prep Kit. RNA sequencing was performed using an Illumina NovaSeq 6000 machine to obtain 150 nt paired-end reads.
