Dataset DebateNet2.0 was developed by researchers from the Center for Social Inequality and Social Policy Research at the University of Bremen. It focuses on the 2015 German political debate regarding the European refugee crisis. The dataset contains 4,417 political claims sourced from articles published by the high-quality German newspaper *taz*. With fine-grained annotations, it covers diverse categories of political claims such as immigration control, foreign policy, social integration, and others. Its goal is to facilitate in-depth understanding of discursive dynamics in democratic decision-making processes through Discourse Network Analysis (DNA). The dataset can be applied in political science research, particularly dynamic analysis of policy debates, as well as computational linguistics research on automatically constructing discourse networks.
