This dataset was generated in aim to evaluate whether differences in developmental dynamics can be leveraged to reduce female contamination in mass mosquito production. Wild-type and yellow-based genetic sexing strain (GSS) <i>Aedes albopictus</i> were reared in triplicate under high-density conditions and monitored daily for pupation over a 10-day period starting from pupation onset. The dataset includes cumulative counts of pupae, sex-assigned for each of the six replicates. It also contains calculated metrics including pupation delay, bimaturism index, male recovery rate, and female contamination rate.<br><br>These data correspond to the plots shown in Figure 6 of the study associated with this entry
