Gene expression of human colon cancer HCT116 cells [HOXA5_si]

Abberant expression of HOXA5 is implicated in cancer development. We identified a novel long non-coding RNA (HOXA5 short RNA) transcribed from HOXA6-HOX5 locus using a next generation-based target RNA capture system. In this study, HCT116 cells were treated with siRNAs targeting the novel non-coding RNA. Gene expression levels of these cells were measured by microarray analysis. HCT116 cells were treated with siRNAs targeting HOXA5 short RNA for 48 h. Total RNA was extracted from these cells, and gene expression was measured by human whole-genome microarray (Agilent Technology).
