资源简介:
This FAIRsharing record describes: ### What is being measured? This metric evaluates whether the metadata record explicitly associates each named creator with their organisational affiliation. The evaluation looks for structured metadata properties and verifies that the information is provided as either a literal string or, ideally, a persistent identifier for the organisation (e.g., a ROR ID). The metric specifically checks that this affiliation is linked directly to the individual author entities within the record's provenance chain. ### Why should we measure it? Under FAIR Principle R1.2, data must be associated with detailed provenance to support its evaluation and reuse. Author affiliation serves as a primary component of "administrative provenance," providing the institutional context and authority under which the research was conducted. Measuring this attribute is essential for several reasons: * Attribution and Credit: It ensures that institutional contributions to research outputs are accurately captured and searchable. * Institutional Reporting: For institutional repositories, it can be used to track internal research impact and ensure that datasets comply with institutional and funder mandates for professional scholarly documentation.
